Enough about me. About this blog. You will find local, state to state, and federal policy & political discussion. The focus will primarily center around education, economic development, and local government policy & issues.
Policy and politics go hand in hand. Discussion of either with out the other is a difficult undertaking. Politics is emotional, sometime brutal, and always fascinating. The problem is some folks take their passion for discussing politics to extremes that includes name calling and down right mean spirited banter. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but often the policy discussion has a tendency to get lost. So lets keep the mean spirited salvo throwing to the Michael Savages and Striesands of the world, shall we.
That being said, in order for a blog to be successful it appears, one must be of a far left or right distinction, allowing the pack to devour anyone who may leave a less than desirable opinion. I hope this site is different.
We will attempt to bring more global issues or interests in our "Weekend Coffee" segment, and will always be looking to make MOTTO a better read.
